Army troops in close co-operation with Medical Officers of Health (MOHs) in respective regions throughout Tuesday (08) successfully carried out COVID-19 vaccination programmes at government-organized mobile centres at MaithreepalaSirisena National SchoolThopawewa, Royal Collage, PalugasdamanaVidyalaya and SeewaliMahaVidyalaya in Polonnaruwa District as instructed by General Shavendra Silva, Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.
Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Eastassisted the function of those vaccination centres.
In the meantime, Commander Security Force – East Major General ChannaWeerasuriya inspected the vaccination centres.
