Major General JC Gamage ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces – (East) made his maiden visits to the 22 and 23 Division Headquarters on 09 and 11 of August 2020, after assuming duties as the Commander SF (E).
On 09 August Commander SF (E) visited the 22 Division Headquarters and was warmly received by the Major General Channa Weerasooriya General Officer Commanding, 22 Division.
Afterwards, the Commander SF (E) addressed the troops and emphasized on continuing professional training and continuation of the good work while maintaining the highest standards of discipline at all levels. Then, the SF Commander attended the General Officer Commanding’s briefing and discussed matters pertaining to operational, administration, and welfare facilities relevant to 22 Division.
Next, the Commander SF (E) visited the Headquarters 23 Division on 11 August 2020. In line with the traditions and customs in the Army, he was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding, 23 Division Major General Dhammika Jayasundara. Later, the Commander paid his thorough attention to the comprehensive briefing presented by the GOC in relevance to the operational and administrative tasks carried out by the Division.
During the camp visits, Commander SF (E) planted saplings to symbolize his visit and signed visitors’ books.
