DONATION PROGRAMMES CONDUCT TO TEMPLES OF SECURITY FORCES (EAST) AREA

Troops of the Security Force Headquarters (East) under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces East, Major General GRRP Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu supplied a large quantity of dry ration packs to the Temples at Dimbulagala, Kalkuda, Kadawathmaduwa and Welikanda areas on 26 July 2022.

The programme was conducted under the “Shasanaloka Programme” which is coordinates by Security Force Headquarters East. As the first steps of this programme, the Buddhist Monks of Dimbulagala Temple were provided a stock of dry ration packs worth of Rs. 90,000.00.

As the Second step, the Inmate Monks of Siri Silalankara Piriwena at Kalkuda under the 233 Infantry Brigade were provided a stock of dry ration packs worth of Rs. 45,000.00.

Furthermore, another one dry ration packs stock worth Rs. 25,000.00 was donated to Kadawathmaduwa Temple at Kadawathmaduwa. That donated dry rations is to be used for preparing of lunch to the Students of its Daham School.

On the same day, the Monks of Welikanda Temple were received dry ration packs and necessary items worth Rs. 30,000.00.

This worthy cause was launched with the generous support, extended by Mr. Prasad Lokubalasuriya who living in Gampaha.

Chief Incumbents of respective Temples, the Commander, Security Forces (East) together with Brigadier Coordinate, Brigadier Kapila Chakrawarthi, Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs, Colonel Rajiv Fernando, Senior Officers of Security Forces (East) and the donors of Gampaha Udugampola area, Mr. Prasad Lokubalasuriya, Mr. Saman Gunarathna and Mr. Asiri Wijewardane were also associated with the donation programmes.
