Batticaloa District Coordinating Committee for prevention of COVID - 19 pandemic assembled at the District Secretariat Batticaloa on 21 May 2021 presided by the GA Batticaloa, Mr. K Karunaharan , Additional GA, Mayor of Batticaloa, Major General Nalin Koswatte, the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division and Commander 231 Infantry Brigade.
Further, Major General Nalin Koswatte led a donation programme at the aforementioned office in order to facilitate the Teaching Hospital Batticaloa with Autoclave machine and H202 Fumigator machine, which were donated by Mr. Sha Hameed, the Senior Manager (HR) Brandix Essential -Batticaloa and Mr. Sellvaraj, the Chairman of Hotel Easter Lagoon.
