DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL ITEMS

222 Brigade and 22nd Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (22 VIR) deployed in 22 Division AOR, organized an event to distribute school equipment for 184 students of under privileged families studying at Dehiwatta Maha Vidyalaya Dehiwatta in coordination with “Future Life Investments Limited” on 21 December 2019. This charity programme was conducted under the auspices of the Manager of Future Life Investments Ltd Mr. Danushka Udugama and staff of the institute.

A school bag, a shoe pair (DSI), clothes for school uniforms, a lunch box, all necessary exercise books for the year 2020 and a water bottle were contained in each donated pack. Colonel MGW Wimalasena RSP - Commander 222 Brigade graced this occasion as the Chief Guest along with the Civil Affairs Officer - 222 Brigade, Commanding Officer 22 VIR and Officers from the Brigade and Battalion HQs.
