DISTRIBUTION OF ESSENTIAL ITEMS AMONG PREGNANT MOTHERS AND OFFERING LUNCH WITH THE PRESENCE OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT
A worthwhile donation program and offering a meal for pregnant mothers were held at Welikanda on 02 Sep 2017 with the presence of HE the President Maithreepala Sirisena along with his family members. 412 x pregnant mothers were provided nutritious food packs, essential basic equipment and offered a delicious lunch during this charitable event which was totally funded by the family of HE the President.\r\n\r\n As per the directions of Comd of the Army, tps of SF HQ (E) assisted in preparing the lunch and organizing the buffet among the pregnant mothers and their NOKs of more than 1500. The close relatives of HE the President and local political dignitaries of the area attended the event. Comd SF (E) Maj Gen Nandana Senadeera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu too accompanied the HE during the event.\r\n
