8th Battalion - Sri Lanka National Guard, under 242 Infantry Brigade of 24 Infantry Division, has organized a distribution programme of dry ration packs on 31 May 2021 for low income families in Kanchirankudah village of Thirukkovil DS Division to alleviate the people who are facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19 pandemic situation in the prevailing restriction of movements.
10 Bags of dry ration worth of Rs. 2500.00 each, were distributed among 10 families. Further 01 x 05 soldiers participated in the programme.
