Under the guidance of the Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarchchi, the troops of 11(V) SLSR conducted a programme to distribute dry ration packs among 1246 needy families in Batticaloa district on 25 July 2021.
The donation was sponsored by the Hamid Hajiyar Charity Foundation in parallel with Hamid Hajiyar’s birthday to facilitate low income families in Batticaloa district. Dry ration packs each worth of Rs. 1500.00 were distributed among the families during the programme.
Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarchchi, Second In Command - 11(V) SLSR and the members of Failwan Mosque joined with the programme which was held at Failwan Mosque - Ariyampathi.
