DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATION PACKS AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO THE MARITIME TRIBAL PEOPLE OF THE KUNGHANKULAM AREA AFFECTED BY ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS UNDER SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (EAST)

On the instructions of the Commander, Security Forces Headquarters (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, and the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General G.P.P. Kulathilaka ndc, and under the supervision of the Brigade Commander, 233 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier S.J.M.N. Perera USP, and the Commanding Officer, 7th Battalion, Gemunu Watch, Major R.M.W.K. Ratnayake USP LLMC, relief activities were carried out in the Kunghankulam area affected by adverse weather conditions.

Accordingly, dry ration packs, school books, and clothing were distributed to the maritime tribal people on 15 December 2025 at Kunghankulam village with the participation of Army troops and local civilians.
