DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATION BAGS TO CIVILIANS AFFECTED BY THE DISASTER

A community service programme was conducted on 20 December 2025 to distribute dry ration packs to civilian families affected by Cyclone “Ditwa.” A total of 176 dry ration packs, each valued at Rs. 6,000.00 and amounting to Rs. 1,056,000.00, donated by the “Guna Jaya Sathuta” Foundation, were distributed among affected families in the Thennamaramwadiya and Thiriyaya Grama Niladhari Divisions within the area of responsibility of the 20th Battalion, Gajaba Regiment.

The programme was carried out under the coordination and supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 20th Battalion, Gajaba Regiment, with the participation of the Commander, 221 Infantry Brigade. Troops of 03X25 also contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
