In response to the widespread power outage caused by adverse weather, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board at Kalmunai and Karaitivu was unable to continue its regular distribution. As a result, 01x03 troops from the 18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, which operates under the 241 Infantry Brigade, distributed drinking water (13500 liters) to the Kalmunai Ashraff Memorial Hospital, the Base Hospital Kalmunai, the Kalmunai Sri Subdraramaya and karaitivu area on 03 December 2025.
