A SawDansala was held at Sagama Junction on 10th June 2025 from 1600 hrs to 1800 hrs to mark the PosonPoya Festival 2025. Around 2500 civilians traveling along the Pottuvil-Akkarapattu main road attended the event, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere throughout the area. This was an attractive and well-organized event that was held in the Thirukkovil area recently, reflecting the strong bond between the military and the local community. It is not only celebrated the importance of the Poson festival, but also fostered unity, peace, coexistence and good will.
This program was conducted under the guidance of senior officers, Major General HCL Galappaththi RSPUSPGeneral Officer Commanding24 Inf Div, Colonel KGAT Kelakorale RSP Brigade Commander 242 Inf Bde, and under the full supervision of Major KD Liyanage CO 8 SLNG.
