COs AND 2ICs WORKSHOP AT SF HQ (E) – STAGE 2

On the instruction of the former SF Commander Major General Darshana Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc Security Force Headquarters (East) organized a 02 days’ workshop for Commanding Officers, Second in Command, and Staff Officers serving in the Security Forces (East) AOR in the month of July.

Stage 2 of the same workshop was organized under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East) Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG on 02 and 03 of November 2023 at the Security Forces Headquarters (East). The workshop included a Diners Club oration on Military support to Sri Lanka Police and Law Enforcement. The guest lecture of the Dinners' Club was delivered by the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr. Ajith Rohana. Eastern Commander, Senior Military, and Police Officers in the Eastern theater too attended for the dinners' club. Further, the workshop focused on Military Support to Civil Administration, Administration and Logistic in Sri Lanka Army, Commanding Officers’ responsibilities and Man Management, Social disputes/ Drug abuse and General counseling for soldiers and Welfare measures available in Sri Lanka Army for the soldiers.

The Training programme was supervised by the Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, General Officers Commanding, 24 Infantry Division. Nearly 50 Commanding Officers, Second in Commands and Staff Officers participated for the workshop.
