The foundation stone laying for construction of the new house for a needy family living in Thusithapura, Bakmeegama, held on Thursday (22) during a simple ceremony.
This programme was organized by the troops of 6 Sri Lanka Armored Corps under the instruction and supervision of Major General Samantha Silva General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division and Brigadier Priyantha Kariyawasam Commander 221 Infantry Brigade. Generous donors living in Australia; Mr Nihal Suriyage, Mr Damith Kahawe and Mr Saman Marasinghe will provide the financial sponsorship for this constructions.
Commander 221 Infantry Brigade graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Lieutenant Colonel Ravindu Hasantha Commanding Officer of 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Other Ranks and beneficiary were present during the ceremony.
