CORNER-STONE LAID FOR A NEW DHAMMA SCHOOL AT BADDRAKALI AMMAN KOVIL IN AMBANDANAVELY VILLAGE

Colonel Wasantha Hewage, Commander - 233 Infantry Brigade, during a brief ceremony, laid the corner-stone for a new religion study center (Damma School) with sanitary facilities at Baddrakali Amman Kovil Ambandanavely - Vakarai on Friday (20).

In response to a request made by the Commander - 233 Infantry Brigade, Lions club Batticaloa has consented to sponsor the cost of raw materials required for the construction while 6 GR troops have volunteered to offer their manpower, technical and engineering expertise for the construction work under the supervision of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade and Civil Affairs Officer - 233 Infantry Brigade.

Commander 233 Infantry Brigade, members of the Lions Club Batticaloa, CO – 6 GR, Civil Affairs Officer -233 Infantry Brigade and troops associated with the construction were present at the occasion adhering to COVID 19 preventive measures.
