CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HOUSE FOR DESERVING FAMILY IN THISSAPURA, MOLLIPOTHANA

Under the guidance of Commander Security Forces (East), Major General Prasanna Gunarathne RSP ndu psc IG, the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division and Brigade Commander 223 Infantry Brigade, the troops of the 15th Battalion the Sri Lanka Light Infantry successfully completed the construction of a new house for Mr. HAAC Dinesh Kumara and his family residing in MollipothanaNorth GN Division. The veteran singer Mr. Bhathiya Jayakodi financially contributed for this house construction project with the co-ordination of the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division Major General P A M Peiris RSP USP psc. This house was ably constructed by the troops of 15th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry within 03 Months.

The house warming ceremony took place on 11 April 2024 with participation of individuals, who have actively involved in this project. General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division Major General P A M Peiris RSP USP psc, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Other participants included the Commander 223 Infantry Brigade Brigadier YHP Rangajeewa USP, Commanding Officer 15th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry Lt Col NC Marasinghe, number of senior officers, Government officials and generous philanthropist Mr. Bhathiya Jayakody with a cross section ofvillagers participated for this occasion.
