IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 78TH NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY A SERIES OF COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMMES

In conjunction with the 78th National Independence Day, a series of community service programmes were organized under the guidance of the Commander - 221 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier BAMC Beligaswatta RSP and under the full supervision of the Civil Coordination Officer of the Brigade. Accordingly, a programme was successfully conducted to distribute dry ration packs to all civil servants of the Brigade. In addition, valuable educational stationery packs were distributed to the school children of civil employees serving at the Brigade Headquarters, with the contribution of Venerable Wadugedara Sarananda Thero. In addition, as part of the Independence Day celebrations, a coastal cleaning programme was carried out around the Pichchamal Vihara, located in the Brigade AOR.
