CONDUCTING A SCHOOL EQUIPMENT DONATION PROGRAM FOR THE STUDENTS STUDYING AT NAMAL WEWA PRIMARY SCHOOL AND ORGANIZING A MEDICAL CAMP FOR THE PARENTS OF THOSE STUDENTS.

A School Item Donation Programme and Medical Camp were successfully conducted at Namal Wewa Primary School for 260 students and their parents, demonstrating the Sri Lanka Army’s continued commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.

The event was graced by Major General HAM Premarathne ndc psc Lsc as the Chief Guest. His presence greatly inspired the students, parents, and staff, highlighting the importance of supporting education and community health in rural areas.

The Commanding Officer of 3 SLAOC Maj HLDGP Senarathne USP psc AATO SLAOC took the initiative to organize this meaningful programme by coordinating generous sponsorship and medical assistance. The donor, Mr. Jeewan Prasad Liyanage, kindly contributed school items valued at Rs. 1,700,000/=, ensuring that all 260 students received essential educational supplies to support their academic activities.

In parallel, a medical camp was conducted for the parents of the students under the guidance of Dr. Nalin and his dedicated medical team. The camp provided consultations, basic medical check-ups, and necessary advice, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

This initiative reflects the Sri Lanka Army’s unwavering dedication to uplifting communities through education and healthcare, strengthening the bond between the Army and the people.
