27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Echchalanpattu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force Headquarters (East),organized a donation campaign for rehabilitated/ non rehabilitated cadres and their families in the areas of Verugal , Kanthale, Thanganagar, Ariyamankeni and Lingapuram.
Two dairy cattle, two sewing machines, fourteen bicycles and sixty mamotees were distributed among the people. A student who passed Grade 5 scholarship examination has given Rs 1500.00 monthly and ten selected unemployed persons got appointment letters for jobs.
All the donations were given by Mr. Upul Pathmalal Vithanage, Managing Director of Sammik Natural Food (Pvt) Ltd. The total value of donations was more than Rs. 350,000.00.
