With the help of different benefactors living in Batticaloa district, Teaching Hospital Batticaloa was facilitated with indispensable medical equipment including a new PCR machine that has the capacity to complete 1000 number of tests per day to ensure the smooth functioning of Covid-19 prevention mechanism.
These indispensable medical equipment were donated to the hospital during last few weeks, under the leadership of Major General Nalin Koswatte, the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division and with the coordination of Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarachchi, Commander of 231 Infantry Brigade.
