Under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC, psc, and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding the 22 Infantry Division, the 242 Infantry Brigade conducted a community welfare program as part of their civil affairs activities.
On 08 May 2025, the troops of the 242 Infantry Brigade organized a beach cleaning program at Arugambay Beach a very important and famous tourist destination.
To ensure the success of this welfare initiative, the General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division, along with senior officers, officers, and other ranks of the 242 Infantry Brigade, actively participated in the event.
