Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Commander Security Forces (East) on 22 Wednesday made an observation visit to the eleventh joint Tri-service Mega Field Training Exercise (FTX) ‘Exercise - Cormorant Strike XI - 2021’, the premier field training exercise of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces. At Minneriya Operational Headquarters at Infantry Training Center, the SF Commander was welcomed by the Deputy Exercise Director, Major General Anil Samarasiri, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division and other stakeholders.
The commander SF (East) took a firsthand glimpse of the proceedings of this notable annual project which commenced on 03 September 2021 and presently underway with the involvement of multinational stakeholders. The closing ceremony of this notable annual project is scheduled on 29 September 2021.
