The Commander Security Forces (East), Major General GRRP Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu visited Deegawapiya Rajamaha Viharaya, Ampara to inspect the ongoing construction project of Deegawapita Pagoda on 06 August 2022.
The Commander inspected the ongoing constructions of the Dagoba and the commitment of the Soldiers of Army and Civil Defence Force. Further, he visited to the Bricks workshops which make the Bricks for the Pagoda and gave instructions to speed up the Bricks production in order to finish up the target date.
The Commander, SF (East) together with the Major General SB Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding of 24 Infantry Division, Colonel KHMUB Koongahapitiya, the Coordinating Officer of Deegawapiya reconstruction project, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended to the progress review visit.
