COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (EAST) PAYS FIELD VISIT TO 231 AND 233 INFANTRY BRIGADES

The Commander Security Force (East), Major General Priyantha Jayawardane, made a field visit to the Headquarters 231 Infantry Brigade and the Headquarters 6th Battalion of Gajaba Regiment located under the 233 Infantry Brigade AOR on Tuesday (20).

The Commander first arrived at the Headquarters 6 GR at Nawaladi and the visiting commander was received by the Commander233 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Wasantha Hewage and the Commanding Officer of 6 GR, Lieutenant Colonel Jaanaka Ranaraja.

The Commander SF (E) addressed the troops and emphasized on continuing professional training and continuation of the good work while maintaining the highest standards of discipline at all levels.

In the afternoon, the Commander Security Force (East) visited the Headquarters 231 Infantry Brigade and attended the formalities there too. Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Dilupa Bandara received the Commander SF (E) at the Headquarters premises. The officers and soldiers met him and had an opportunity to discuss matters pertaining to administration aspects, operational needs, welfare measures and requirements of the troops during this field visit.

Major General Shiwanth Kulathunga, General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, accompanied the Commander SF (E) during the visit.
