COMMANDER FMA (EAST) MEETS VETERANS IN DISTRICT 'RANAVIRU' ORGANIZATIONS

Following a concept of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, coordinators of Ranaviru Organizations of Polonnaruwa Districts, had a meeting with the Commander Forward Maintenance Area (East) Major General Mahesh Abeyrathne on Monday (28) at the lecture hall of FMA (E), Minneriya. The Commander FMA (E) highlighted the Army's responsibility of ensuring the well-being of retired Army personnel as well as family members of injured and fallen War Heroes and the importance of promoting welfare prospects of the retirees and maintaining the respected social recognition of Ranaviru Veterans and contribute to the betterment of the national economy and the Army. The event was conducted adhering to Covid - 19 health guidelines.
