Major General KAWS Ratnayake ndu, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area (East) made official visits to it's under command Logistic Units during 8 to 12 August 2022.
On 8 August 2022, at the arrival to the 3 ESR at Minneriya, the Commander, FMA (E) was welcomed by the Commanding Officer. A Guard Turnout was honored to the visiting Commander at the Camp Main Gate. After planting a Mango plant at the camp premises, the Commander visited and inspected the ESR workshop. The Commander conducted a troop address as the final event of the day.
On 9 August 2022, Major General Sudath Ratnayake visited the 4 Battalion of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Headquarters at Hingurakgoda and shared few thoughts with the troops. During the camp visit, the visiting Commander inspected the Ration Stores of the Battalion and planted a sapling as a symbol of memory.
The FMA Commander visited 5 SLAMC at Habarana on 10 August 2022 and visited the camp remises. During the visit, the FMA Commander observed the Green Agriculture progress of the Battalion. After that, 11 August 2022, the Commander, FMA (E) visited 2 SLCMP Headquarters at Giritale. After planting a sapling at the Camp premises the Commanding Officer conducted a briefing at the conference hall. The visiting Commander placed his signature to the visitors' book to mark his visit to the Battalion.
Finally, the Commander, FMA (E) visited 3 (V) Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock at Kandakadu on 12 August 2022 to windup the visiting programme to the Logistic Battalions. At the arrival to the 3 (V) SLACAL, a troop address was conducted by the Commander and visited the food factories of the Battalion.
The Commander, FMA (E) together with Staff Officer I of FMA (E), Commanding Officers, Senior Officers and troops were associated with the chain of visits.
