CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY OF (MUAYTHAI /BORAN) MARTIAL ART TRAINING BASIC COURSE - 1
The art of the eight limbs (Muaythai/Boran) Martial Art Training Basic Course - 1 conducted at SF HQ (E) under the direction of Dte Gen Sports, Kru (Master) Muaythai Association (KMA) and World Muay Boran Federation (WMBF) was successfully completed on 18 Sep 17. The certificate awarding ceremony and the closing ceremony of the course was graced by the Commander SF (E) Maj Gen D S N K Senadeera WWV RWP RWP USP ndu.\r\n\r\nDuring this 3 month long course, athletes had an opportunity to learn Traditional Muay Boran (Martial Art) and Modern Muaythai (Sport Muaythai) techniques. They were advised not only to concentrate physical fighting skills, but also to inculcate discipline that enhances their spirit and quality of life through training of body and mind together.\r\n\r\nGrading was held in accordance with the master guide information tool kit provided by Kru (Master) Muaythai Association (KMA). The athletes were awarded a certificate which is internationally acceped in all member countries of KMA and WMBF. 12 x athletes were directly selected to instructor pool and others will be recalled for Army Fighter Pool Selection on Dec 2017. The Chairman Army Boxing Committee Maj Gen G R H Dias USP ndc psc IG closely supervised the course providing necessary guidelines. \r\n
