According to an information received by 7 Military Intelligence Corps, Intelligent troops attach to 222 Infantry Brigade, together with Kanthale police stations officials, a person was apprehended with 4.510g of “Kerala Cannabis” at Siththaru 15 March 2023. Thereafter suspected person with illegal drugs was handed over to the Kanthale police station for further investigations.
The Commander, Security Forces (East) together with the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, and the Brigade Commander, 222 Infantry Brigade with the Commanding Officer, 7 Military Intelligence Corps closely monitored the raid and instructed accordingly. With the apprehended of these illegal activities in respective areas, illegal activities will be stopped in the area and the general public’s confidence in the Military forces will be increased.
