According to an information received by 7 Military Intelligence Corps, Intelligent troops (attach to 222 Infantry Brigade) together with Kanthale police stations officials, a person was Apprehended with 60mg of “Methamphetamine” (Ice Drugs) at Ganthalawa on 25th December 2022.
On the same day, another Capture of illegal Drugs at Ganthalawa, Intelligent troops combining with the Kanthale police officers another person was apprehended with 04g of Cannabis (Kerala Ganja), while transporting for the sale. There after suspected persons with illegal drugs were handed over to the Kanthale police stations for further investigations.
The Commander, Security Forces - East, together with the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division and the Brigade Commander of 222 Infantry Brigades closely monitored the raid and instructed accordingly. With the Apprehended of these illegal activities respective area, which illegal activities will be stopped in the area and the general public’s confidence about the Military forces has will increased.
