BIDS FAREWELL TO ITS OUTGOING SF COMD - EAST

The outgoing Commander of Security Forces – East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena was saluted in accordance with military traditions during a formal farewell, held at the Security Forces Headquarters East premises on 12 November 2022.

On the arrival, a Guard Turnout at the entrances and a Guard of Honors parade in the parade square at Security Forces Headquarters East, honored the outgoing Commander Security Forces – East. At second, he posed for a group photo at the SF HQ (E), compound as a symbol of memory.

Furthermore, the outgoing SF Comd addressing the troops of the Security Forces – East, "thanked" all ranks for their generous assistance and support extended to him during his tenure. A memento was awarded him as a souvenir towards, an all rank tea marked the occasion in accordance with military traditions to mark the relinquishment of his appointment. Same time a farewell Dinner hosted on the following day honored the outgoing SF Comd (E) by Officers of the Security Forces Headquarters - East at the Officers’ Mess, a memento was also awarded to him as a souvenir towards the end of the day on Friday (11).

The 22, 23 and 24 Divisions General Officers Commanding, Brigadier Admin & Quartering of Security Forces - East, all Brigade Commanders, Senior Staff Officers of SF HQ (E), Commanding Officers and Officers presented the occasion.
