Batticaloa District Coordinating Committee for prevention of COVID - 19 pandemic assembled at the District Secretariat Batticaloa on Wednesday (05) May 2021 presided by the GA Batticaloa Mr. K. Karunaharan. Additional GA, Mayor of Batticaloa, Major General NalinKoswatte the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Colonel VijithaHettiarachchi Commander 231 Infantry Brigade also took part in the conference.
During the conference, the stakeholders shared their views with Major General NalinKoswatte regarding further measures to be taken in Batticaloa district to curb the sudden spread of the pandemic and also discussed on implementing a sound mechanism in partnership with security forces, government and health authorities.
