BASIC OUTBOARD MOTOR BOAT TRAINING COURSE NO 2 CONDUCTED BY 22 INFANTRY DIVISION HEADQUARTERS

With the concept of General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General PAM Peiris RSP USP psc, basic outboard motor boat (OBM) training course No 2 was conducted for 00 x 34 other rankers of under command battalion’s Search & Rescue operation teams from 27 November 2023 to 09 December 2023 with the support of 7 field Engineer Regiment. The soldiers were educated on theoretical and practical aspects of operating the OBM boats, identifying the parts of engine, how to rectify the faults and how to operate the boat in any conditions and specially in flood situation. Finally, the Soldiers have been graded by theoretical paper and practical test.

Corporal Wickramasiri DPDUK of 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment has got first place out of 34 students of the basic outboard motor boat training course No 2 conducted at the 22 Infantry Division Headquarters. The certificate awarding ceremony was held on 10 December 2023 with the presence of General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General PAM Peiris RSP USP psc.
