AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON MANAGEMENT OF WATER AT 23 DIVISION
Water is a precious and one of the natural resources required to sustain all lives on the planet, making it already the most important commodity on Earth. Experts have even predicted that future wars would be fought over water. Exhausting water resources is a serious threat to our survival. Therefore this most precious commodity may become as a traded commodity that will be exchanged in future, much like oil, or gold. \r\n\r\nIn view of above, 23 Division conducted series of awareness programmes on Management of Water with the lecture assistance from the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (Eastern Province). \r\n\r\nThe fourth workshop was conducted on 04 Apr 16 and it concluded with a street drama depicting the importance and value of water. General Officer Commanding, 23 Division Major General DDUK Hettiarrachchi RSP USP ndu psc and Deputy General Manager of National Water Supply and Drainage Board (Eastern Province) Mr. U. Rathnapala also attended the final workshop at 23 Division Total no of 58 x 900 participated in 04 x workshops conducted at HQ 23 Division premises.
