ASSUMING DUTIES AS COMMANDER 222 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Brigadier H K S Thillakaratne, assumed duties as the new Commander of 222 Infantry Brigade on 28 November 2023 at the 222 Infantry Brigade Headquarters, Jayanthigama, Kanthale.

In accordance with military traditions, Brigadier H K S Thillakaratne reviewed the Guard Turnout on arrival and he was welcomed by the Officers of the 222 Infantry Brigade.

The newly appointed Brigade Commander placed his signature for a formal document to signify the acceptance of the office and planting of a sapling was taken place to mark the occasion. Officers and the Other Ranks of the Brigade Staff were attended the ceremony.
