International half marathon 2023 was organized by Arugambay Development Forum (ADF) with the collaboration of 242 Infantry Brigade on 23 July 2023 at Arugambay, highlighting the slogan of ‘Visit Sri Lanka’ as means to promote tourism industry of Sri Lanka. The event has categorized as 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km and awards given as adult male/female and junior male/female. There were 220 foreign and local runners participated to the event and it was highly appreciated by participants as well as attendance to the occasion.
Commander, 242 Infantry Brigade, Colonel KPL Amunupure RWP RSP USP, Commanding Officer 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Civil Affairs Officer of 242 Infantry Brigade and Officers and Other Ranks were attended to the event.
