ANOTHER COMMUNITY PROJECT BY SFHQ (E) - DONATION OF DRY RATION PACKS FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED FAMILIES IN SORUWILA

With the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East), the direction of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, and the instructions of the Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, the 12th Battalion GW organized a dry-ration donation program for flood-affected families in the Soruwila area.

The program was conducted on 02 December 2025 with the participation of Major General KPP Kulatilakandc, General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Brigadier SDKWMMI Weliwita RWP RSP USP psc Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, the Commanding Officer, and 2 × 10 troops of the 12th Battalion GW.

The financial support for making this program a success is provided by the Executive Director of Hemas, Mrs. SriromiMasakorala, the beloved wife of retired Major General KumuduPerera, a senior officer of Sri Lanka Army This humanitarian effort provided essential relief to vulnerable families affected by the recent floods in Soruwila area.
