In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, the troops of the 8 Sri Lanka National Guard (8 SLNG), constructed a new home for a deserving family in Damana, Ampara.
Brigadier L.S.D.N Pathiratna RSP USP, Commander of the 241 Infantry Brigade, along with Brigadier K.P.L Amunupura RWP RSP USP, Commander of the 242 Infantry Brigade graced the house warming ceremony as the chief guest which was held on 09 October 2024.
This project carried out under the supervision of Major E.D.S.K Deniyaya, Commanding Officer of the 8 SLNG with the financial contributions from philanthropists.
In addition, essential maternity items were distributed to 25 pregnant women in the village, facilitated by the financial support of Mr. Gamunu Perera and coordinated by Commander of the 242 Infantry Brigade.
