Troops of the 8th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard under command to 242 Infantry Brigade launched a Shramadana campaign on 25 October 2021 at Kanchirankuda GTMS school in Thirukkovil area in collaboration with parents of students.
This event was launched on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding - 24 Infantry Division Major General Chaminda Lamahewa and under the supervision of the Commander 242 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Chandika Peiris.
