The troops of 8 Sri Lanka National Guard under the 242 Infantry Brigade in collaboration with the Thirukkovil Base Hospital staff organized a Medical treatment programme at the Forum to Assist children's Education Centre Umri, Thirukkovil on 30 August 2022.
A total of 16 Doctors and 8 Assistance of Thirukkovil Base Hospital conducted the programme and 331 patients of low income families of Sangamangramam GN Division were benefitted from the medical campaign.
The event was organized with the directions of Major General SB Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding of 24 Infantry Division. The Brigade Commander of 242 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier BGS Fernando USP psc Hdmc together with Commanding Officer of 8 SLNG, Major SJ Amadoru, Officers and Other Ranks of 8 SLNG were participated to the event.
