7TH BATTALION OF GAMUNU WATCH CONSTRUCTS AND HANDS OVER NEW HOUSE TO LOW-INCOME FAMILY

Under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East),Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc,and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding the 23 Infantry Division, the 7th Battalion of the Gamunu Watch, deployed under the 233 Infantry Brigade, successfully completed the construction of a new house and handed it over to Mr. Gamini Amarasinghe and his family.

The project was mainly coordinated by the Commanding Officer of the 7th Battalion of the Gamunu Watch.

This initiative was carried out as part of a civil-military coordination program conducted in the Eastern Theatre.

The project was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Mrs. Niluka Alkaduwa, Chief Inspector of Police Mr. Lasantha Bandara, Mr. Sanjaya Edirisinghe, and Mrs. Anuradha Nanayakkara.

The newly constructed house was officially handed over on 29 June 2025 in the Punani area.

The Commander Security Forces (East) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Also in attendance were the General Officer Commanding the 23 Infantry Division, the Commander of the 233 Infantry Brigade, senior and junior officers, other ranks, sponsors, police personnel, and local civilians.
