Making reality of the manifesto of His Excellency the President, ‘Gama Samaga Pilisadarak’ programme was conducted in Gomarankadawala on 27 February 2021. As discussed on above programme, HE the President has directed to renovate the playground at Gomarankadawala, Bakmigama, Medawachchiya Vidyalaya and entrusted above task to Sri Lanka Army.
Accordingly, with the instruction of the Commander of the Army, General LHSC Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and under supervision of the Chief Field Engineer Major General AN Amarasekara USP ndu and Plant Engineer Brigade Commander, Brigadier MK Jayawardena RSP USP, the project tasks commenced on 28 February 2021 by utilizing the skilled manpower and technical expertise of 7 Field Engineer Regiment troops and plant machineries.
