Making reality of the manifesto of His Excellency the President, ‘Gama Samaga Pilisadarak’ program was conducted in Madirigiriya on 16 January 2021. As discussed on above programme, HE the President has directed to renovate a playground and construct a new library building facility to Higurakgoda Rajarata College and entrusted above task to Sri Lanka Army.
Accordingly, with the instruction of the Commander of the Army General LHSC Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and under supervision of the Chief Field Engineer Major General AN Amarasekara USP ndu and Plant Engineer Brigade Commander Brigadier MK Jayawardena RSP USP, the project tasks commenced on 17 January 2021 by utilizing the skilled manpower and technical expertise of 7 Field Engineer Regiment troops and plant machineries.
