5 SLMC CONDUCTED SERIES OF LECTURES FOR THE MILITARY PERSONNEL IN SFHQ (E) TO PRACTICE THE GOOD HYGIENE ATTITUDES.
We have planned to conduct the series of lectures for the Military personnel in this AOR under the SFHQ(East) to make them aware of how to practice the good hygiene attitudes to prevent the diseases and to give them some knowledge and importance of diseases which are common to the Military troops.
Under this program the Commanding officer of the 5th Regiment of the SLAMC Major(Dr) SAAK Peiris and medical team delivered the inauguration lecture of the said series of lectures program to troops attached to the units under the FMA(East) on 3rd and 4th of this month at 3ESR lecture hall.
These lectures have been designed under the following main topics and sub topics.
Introduction of how to maintain and practice good health and hygiene attitude and habits.
Introduction of Communicable disease.
Parasitic disease(Malaria,Filaria infection )
Bacterial/Viral infection(Dengue/ Rabies/Respiratory Track Infection )
Spirokets(Leptospyrosis)
Introduction of common Sexually Transmitted Diseases and awareness of HIV/AIDS
Introduction of Noncommunicable diseases (Diabetics, Hypertension/Hyperlipidomea and modification of life style)
Prevention of Accident and Cancer.
Stress control awareness.
