5 SLA PAINTED THE CHURCH OF CHRIST THE KING AT SEENIPURA

The Church of Christ the King, which has been located in the ancient sugar factory premises at Seenipura area for more than fifty years. Particular Church was not able to held divine services continuously for almost thirty years. After raising the flag again on 25 November 2023, the first divine sacrifice was offered on 26 November 2023.

Painting and cleaning the church and the premises on 24 November 2023 simultaneously to start the divine service by the troops of 5 (V) Sri Lanka Artilery. It was organized by under the guidance of the Commander of 222 Infantry Brigade, Colonel R K A R P Ratnayake RSP USP psc and under supervision of the Commanding Officer of 5 (V) Sri Lanka Artilery, Lieutenant Colonel W W M P B Wekadapola USP psc IG SLA. 01 Officer and 10 other ranks were participated for the cleaning and painting programme to the success of the first divine.
