24 INFANTRY DIVISION HOSTS BASEBALL COACHING CAMP IN AMPARA

24 Infantry Division organised a Baseball Coaching Camp at the Division Headquarters on 16 August 2024. The camp, conducted under the guidance of Major General W.L.A.C. Perera RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Baseball Committee, aimed to teach essential techniques and coaching strategies.

Mr. Sujeewa Wijayanayake, Deputy Umpire Director of the Baseball Federation of Asia and Head of the International Development Baseball Federation – Japan, conducted the programme. During the closing ceremony, Mr. Wijayanayake donated baseball equipment worth over one million rupees to the participating school instructors.

Over 30 Physical Training Instructors and Coaches from selected schools in the Ampara Educational Zone, Mrs. S.R. Hasanthi, Zonal Educational Director of Ampara were present at the occasion.
