Leadership isn't limited to adulthood; it is a skill that can be nurtured from a young age. Recognizing this, Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) has undertaken a commendable initiative by conducting a leadership programme for Junior Prefects of Am/Senarath Somarathne Primary School on 24th August 2023. This visionary approach aims to instill foundational leadership qualities in young minds, empowering them to become confident, responsible, and effective leaders in the future.
The leadership programme curated for Junior Prefects who are in grades 3, 4 and 5 students, goes beyond the conventional classroom curriculum. It is designed to inspire and empower these young minds to take charge of their actions, make informed decisions, and cultivate qualities that will not only serve them well in their academic journey but also prepare them for leadership roles in various aspects of life.
Students learned the value of teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication.
