24 INFANTRY DIVISION BOOSTS MORALE OF THE TROOPS WITH R&R SESSIONS

In an effort to boost morale and provide much-needed relaxation of the 24 Infantry Division troops, the Division conducted a special Rest and Recreation (R&R) session, highlighting the extraordinary musical talents of the Sri Lanka Army Band and 18 VIR Beat Band. These events were organized to appraise the military's commitment of the soldiers and to provide them with a moment of respite for their demanding duties.

These sessions were conducted for 3 (04 Sep 23 to 06 Sep 23) days in 24 Infantry Division (Malwatta), 241 Infantry Brigade (Akkaraipattu), 242 Infantry Brigade (Arugambay), and 243 Infantry Division (Batticoloa).This initiative was not to provide much-needed respite but also to booster morale and camaraderie among the soldiers.

These events were conducted according to the vision of the General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc. The R & R event was a grand affair, attended by both military personnel and their families. More than 750 troops flocked together to make these events a great success.
