On the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 24 Division Major General T D Weerakoon RWP RSP USP, a special programme was organized by the troops of 24 Division on Thursday (01) in collaboration with Urban Council of Ampara and Seylan Bank to mark the World Children’s Day. It was organized to provide incentives to deserving children in Ampara District.
Accordingly, several competitions and fun games were organized for children at the Urban Council Park in Ampara. Towards the end of the programme, winners of the competitions and all other participants were awarded with gift packs.
General Officer Commanding, of 24 Division, Commander 241 Brigade, DIG of Police -Ampara and Chairman of Urban Council were present during the event.
