233 Infantry Brigade together with the troops of 6 Gajaba Regiment launched a programme to distribute 65 dry ration packs among selected needy families in general area Koonjankulam on 03 July 2021. The project was carried out on the directions of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade Colonel RWK Hewage RWP RSP.
Being aware of the difficulties faced by civiliansduring the prevailing Covid - 19 pandemic in the country, the President of Sri Lanka Sinha Club Batticaloa Branch and the staff provided the sponsorship for this worthy project. The Commander 23 Infantry Division Major General KANN Koswatte RWP RSP ndc, Commander - 233 Infantry Brigade Colonel RWK Hewage RWP RSP, Commanding Officer 6 Gajaba Regiment, Civil Affairs Officer 233 Infantry Brigade and the troops of 6 Gajaba Regiment participated in the event.
