232 Brigade Supports Schools in the Area

According to the guidence of Commander SFHQ (E), Major General SA Kulathunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc, according to the instructions of General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry division Major General WP Kariyawasam, and under the supervision of Commander 232 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier RPS Prasad RWP RSP USP with the financial support of ”Roshan Mahanama Trust “Community Support projects were conducted at Punnakudah Nagenahiru Pre School and Kalkuda Sri seelalankara Sinhala Vidyalaya.

With the coordination of Major General (Retd) MKD Perera RWP RSP VSV USP nduworth of Rs 275000.00 financial assistance of “Roshan Mahanama Trust” and labour contribution of troops of 4th Battalion the Gemunu watch, constructed new Toilet complex and worth of Rs250000.00Play ground equipment also donatcd to the students of Punnakudah Nagenahiiru Pre School at 0930 hrs on 04 May 2024.

Inconjunction with that programme the furniture worth of Rs 800000.00 handed over to students of Kalkudah Sri Seelalankara Sinhala Vidyalaya at 1145 hrs.

Former Sri Lankan National cricketers MrRoshan Mahanama, MrChaminda Vass, MrRomesh Kaluwitharana, Major General (Retd) MKD Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, Brigadier RPS Prasad RWP RSP USP Commander 232 Infantry Brigade, Colonel Coordinating Officer 23 Infantry Division, Civil Affairs Officer 23 Infantry Division, Civil Affairs Officer 232 infantry Brigade, Commanding Officer 4th Battalion the Gemunu Watch, with 02x25 Troops of 4 GW and Villagers were participated for that event.
